Hi Thelma You asked for feedback on your CD so here it comes, it is easy to follow, well photographed and is just perfect for beginners to intermediates skilled twisters, 19 superb creations only problem I'm having is trying to match your excellent artwork, you give them such wonderful personalities. Star rating A Big 5 out of 5, well done.

I have seen Thelma's pdf and as I have said before she's one of our best twisters on this sight. I took one of her designs to an event and all the kids wanted one, it looked so good and of course it made me look good as well.

Sooooooooooooooooooo

you will like it?

So get it!

Thelma has just release her infamous CD with 19+ designs on it. I was lucky enough to receive a copy of the cd and have already started making the models. Not only do I personally enjoy the CD, but I've already road tested some of the models and they receive great reactions from the crowd. Fast and impressive, what more could I want?

I say 19+ because there are 19 designs but at the end of some of them, she gives you tip on how to accentuate the models if you have more time.

Her writing style is quick to read and easy to understand. The step by step picture directions are easy to follow. As easy as the models are to make, they are impressive - as is to be expected to Thelma.

Very nice CD, Thelma.  I especially appreciated having it delivered via email.  Right now the snake is my favorite, but I admit I haven't worked through all of the designs yet. Your posts are always appreciated!  Thanks for putting so much effort into the instructions.

Good morning ya'll!

I have been a fan of Thelma's since she joined this forum because I really love her twisting style and how generous she has been with sharing her ideas.  I'm sure all of you here on the forum have been aware that Thelma has been working on her first balloon instructional CD and guess what? It's finished and ready to go!

OK, so you already know that I'm her #1 fan, but I will do my best to give an unbiased review of her CD.

The CD arrived via 3 e-mails containing 22 PDF files (19 instructions, 1 cover sheet, one intro, and one explanation sheet).  The instructions are laid out in an easy to read format with color step-by-step photos.  They are just perfect for viewing while sitting back and twisting along.

Just like the title of her CD suggests, all of these designs use just 2 balloons (260s) and a scrap or two which makes them perfect for those times when you need something quick but cute.  Many of these designs she has been generous enough to give us previews of here on the forum like the Seal Pup and the Elephant (both of which I really love!!) but she has gone back and made sure the instructions are even more easy to understand and in many cases completely redid the instructions (and the photos!) in an effort to make them very user friendly even for newbies. She also includes photos of ideas on how to take the designs up a notch.

There are some new designs too and variations of designs she has already shared, like the 2 balloon dog and the Doll so even if you have seen her designs before the CD is still more than worth getting.

So if you are one of the people that have already been using her designs and making money off them, now's the time to really show her that you appreciate her generosity by purchasing one of her CDs.  If you are not familiar with Thelma's work, this is the perfect CD to get you started. Congrats on a wonderful CD Thelma!

Hi guys, just got my copy (via e-mail) of Thelma 'the queen of twisting' new CD entitled two and a bit, it's an excellent, easy to follow and well photographed training CD for beginners to intermediate twister all 19 sculptures are usable with many having the wonderful Ahh factor and for £15 sterling it represents excellent value for money. The only problem I had was trying to emulate Thelma's artwork, she gives each balloon a personality of its own. Highly recommended with a big 5 star rating Well done Thelma when is volume 2 coming out ?

This review is from the point of view of a basic twister (myself) who, up until December 2007 had only done one-balloon dogs, swords, parrot-in-a-swing, etc. Then I discovered the on-line balloon community and these forums, and my eyes were opened.

Thelma's instructions arrive either on a CD, or, better still and quicker, by 3 emails. In the emails are 22 pdf files, including a CD cover, a Foreword, a page explaining some of the twists that are not so basic, and 19 files giving instructions for 19 models (listed on the link I gave you).

The pages are clean, uncluttered and very colourful. They would look lovely printed out in book form, but since there are about 130-odd A5 size pages in total, I chose to stick with the electronic version.

Each model is clearly explained, with text and many photos each way of explaining enhances the other, so you'll have no trouble whether you're a verbal or a visual person.

What a delight to reproduce these colourful, innovative and original designs! They will be a hit with any group of people, and I'm looking forward to using them, after spending some time getting up to speed with them. For beginners they will be a bit of a challenge, but well worth the effort when you see the results. For more advanced twisters well, the designs are stunning, and will be a welcome addition to your repertoire.

My two favourite things about the models on this CD is that they are very colourful, and they are full of character.

In conclusion, I thoroughly recommend this CD for all levels of twisters.

Cheers,

Kath

Thanks Thelma!!

You better put me on your mailing list for your next CD.

Here is my short review of Thelma's CD.  As I told Thelma I only wanted one of her designs from the CD.  I had not found a cat that I liked and that I could also make.  I had a cat that I made but it was not good, it was good enough but not really good.  So I bought this CD for that one design.  This evening I made the Cat, the Mouse, the Duck and the snake. Later I plan on making the Tiger, the Doll and the Pterodactyl.  After that I will try the rest of them.  The one design I know I will never make is the Seal pup.  I could never draw that well.     In closing this is a great CD at a great price.  Can I be put on the waiting list for the next CD?

Warren

Thelma I know how much work goes into the production of your CD's and at the risk of interfering with your actual twisting time I have to say I can't wait for your next one (or 30). Thank you for sharing your creativity with the rest of us even as far as Australia!!!

John Gordon, Paula Moors and Donna Wiles said great things about your CD on balloonhq in response to Ralph's post about it.  And I figured those four could not be wrong, so I bought it.  I've found so many good things on it that I am really glad I did, too!

I have not met Ralph yet, although I will be meeting him in about 10 days when we work on the Balloons Over Texas project.  We are doing this right after my birthday, so I consider meeting him to be a birthday present! to myself.

Warmest regards,
