Weddings

Weddings can be very trying for children.  They are thrown into a social gathering with other children they might not know and expected to be quiet and well behaved during the ceremony and ensuing wedding breakfast.  It is a long haul for them.

Smudgy will attend to help the children to get to know each other in a fun atmosphere.  Plans vary depending on the wedding plan of course.  Smudgy can attend either in her normal “Smudgy” costume or can come along in more formal clothes if you wish to keep a more sophisticated feel to your day.  The most popular plan is for Smudgy to come during the pre-meal drinks and say hello to the children and make a few balloons.  These will captivate not only the children but the adults too.  Many people think of balloons as just swords and poodles and will be totally blown away by Smudgy’s creations.  During the wedding breakfast Smudgy can go around the tables keeping a fairly quiet profile and continue making balloons for the the children, who love to have the balloons and the adult guests will be spellbound watching them being created.  When the children have had enough to eat Smudgy will take the children to play games and watch her magic show whilst the speeches and congratulations are made.  This takes the pressure of mum and dad who can relax and enjoy the social occasion knowing their children are having a great time too.  Smudgy has been called the Pied Piper on more than one occasion at weddings.  Smudgy has a great rapour with the children and has as much fun as they do.

Face Painting is an option that is available if requested but Smudgy is aware that with the wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses in near proximity it might not be wanted.  If you do want face painting for the children it is kept fairly minimal and light.
